David Rodriguez-Duarte

David Rodriguez-Duarte is a Ph.D. student at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications (DET) in Politecnico di Torino, at the Applied Electromagnetics group. He received his B.Sc. and MSc degree in electronic engineering from Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Bogota, in 2013 and 2018, respectively. He received the best undergraduate thesis 2013/14 Award from Department of Electronics. From 2014 to 2015, he collaborated in satellite mission Libertad 2 as a young researcher in the group in Control and Energy Nanosatellites (CEN) of Universidad Sergio Arboleda, Bogota, Colombia. In 2017, he was visitor research at The University of British Columbia, Kelowna, Canada, working on the usage of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) for information collection/dissemination in Wireless Sensor Networks, and funding by the Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP). For his Master’s thesis, he worked on the design of antennas for full-duplex wireless communications systems and was an affiliated of the research groups in telecommunications and high frequency (CMUN) and EMC at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. He is currently working on WP4-task9 of the EMERALD project. His current research interest includes antenna design and microwave imaging system.
